Katie Walker

I have been lucky enough to have known and been coached by Melissa for the past 15 years.

I highly recommend Melissa and her techniques to any aspiring netball or coach and am so grateful that we met on that fateful day all those years ago.

Laura Stokes

I have been coached by Melissa O’Brien for the past 6 years.

Throughout this time Mel has been a great mentor and friend both on and off the netball court and is a coach who is highly respected by her players.

Shannon Holmes

Melissa has been one of the most influential coaches I have had.

Mel first took me on as a 16 year old when and picked me in the Wildcats Tier One team that gave me my first big opportunity.

Alannah Kinross

After having only been coached by Melissa for only 2 years, both her coaching style and genuine care for me personally and my netball has transformed my attitude and perspective to my role in the game entirely.

Tania Hillier

After being coached by Melissa for 5 years I have a new appreciation of the game.
Her ability to push you harder than you ever thought possible and her dedication to the game is what built respect amongst the players in her team.

Being in Melissa’s team was not only a shock to my system fitness wise, but also structurely.

I had never been exposed to such a broad systematic and defined coaching plan before. Not only for the season, but building on from year to year.

At age 15 Mel took a chance in me pulling me up from tier two to tier one.

Mel coached me for 3 years and in that time I developed skills and confidence I never believed I had, reaching state and national level teams for those 3 years.

I was selected in Mel’s team when I was thinking that it was my last year of playing competitive.

Since being coached by Mel I have played at Tier 1 level for over 6 years and represented Queensland twice at the aged Nationals.

Melissa coached me at State League level for over 10 years.

I was the fittest I have ever been under Mel. I never knew I was capable of that level of fitness. It was the most physically and mentally toughest time of my sporting life but also the most fondest time.
